Bill Kimmerle / CEO

Bill Kimmerle is the CEO of Baker McMillen Company located in, Stow, OH and the CEO of NSI which is located in Portland, OR. Kimmerle is a serial entrepreneur that assembles talented and experienced management teams, coupled with consultants to operate his businesses. Kimmerle purchased Baker McMillen, a hardwood products company, in 1999. Today the company operates a sawmill (The Crook Miller Co) in Hicksville, OH, an OEM Manufacturing division (Baker McMillen Co.) and Waddell Mfg. (a turn-around) both located in Stow, OH. The Waddell division is now an industry leader in the DIY retail market, serving Lowe’s, The Home Depot and other leading DIY retailers. New products are an important part of the culture of each company.  Additionally, Kimmerle has forged strong relationships with manufacturers in Asia to lead the industry in low cost hardwood manufacturing.

In 2010 Kimmerle purchased Nuance Systems Inc. NSI, based in Portland, OR, manufactures ultra-high purity components for the Semiconductor, LED, Solar and other disruptive technology markets. Customers include; Intel, Applied Materials, First Solar and numerous other fortune 500 companies. NSI focuses on being a total solution provider to its high tech customers. This is accomplished thru the PhD level R&D team as well as its highly trained and experienced associates. Kimmerle has authored more than a dozen patents. 

After completing his BS in Physics, Kimmerle earned a full academic scholarship to Columbia University where he completed his Masters and Ph.D. in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering. During the following years that he worked for Babcock & Wilcox in power generation as a Research Scientist he developed patents for use in Nuclear Power Generation. The majority of the work was related to the US Nuclear Navy and was security clearance related (DOE & DOD).

Kimmerle served on the Board of Directors of Morgan Bank, N.A., its Audit Committee, as well as the Advisory Board for LNB Bancorp. He served as; a Trustee for The Hudson Public Schools Endowment Fund, Campaign Coordinator for the Northern Summit County of The United Way, an Executive Committee Member of the Young Presidents Organization and a fund raiser for the American Red Cross. Kimmerle is currently a member of both the Cleveland, OH and Portland, OR Chapters of the WPO. Bill splits his time between Hudson, OH and Portland, OR.



Tony Silvidi / VP Finance

 

Tony Silvidi has led the financial team at Baker McMillen for 25 years. He oversees financial reporting and administration for all Baker McMillen divisions. In addition, he manages all corporate employee benefit programs, HR administration and serves as legal liaison for all corporate matters.

Mr. Silvidi started his career with Arthur Andersen in 1986. After 5 years of compliance and consulting   work for a diverse number of privately owned companies, he accepted the position of controller at Baker McMillen. During his tenure, he has been the lead financial counsel for numerous due diligence investigations for Baker McMillen ownership. In 2010, he became Treasurer of Nuance Systems Inc., an independent business entity located in Portland Oregon which has common ownership with Baker McMillen.

Mr. Silvidi earned a BBA from Kent State University in accounting and computer science, and has been an Ohio CPA certificate holder for 30 years.

Pat Cartellone / VP Sales & Marketing

 

Patrick Cartellone is a sales and marketing veteran working for iconic brands such as Black and Decker, DEWALT, Glidden, Hoover and Dirt Devil in his 25 year career. Starting at Black and Decker he went through their extensive Sales and Marketing training program. His passion for leadership helped deliver profitable sales growth at every organization. While at Black & Decker, he earned the prestigious Eagle Performance Award for sales excellence and rose through the ranks in sales, marketing and management. He has been responsible for working with a diversified group of customers including, The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy, Amazon, Costco, Home Shopping Network, Kohls, and Bed, Bath & Beyond. Mr. Cartellone has been in an executive role for the past 15 years leading teams from 6 to 300 associates and responsible for annual sales of $750M. With experience in strategic planning, value selling, account development, product development, channel management, brand marketing and executive management, he is well equipped to deliver results for many channels of distribution. Mr. Cartellone received a BS in Marketing from The Ohio State University.
Will Kimmerle / Director of Operations

 

Will Kimmerle was named the Director of Operations in February, 2015, culminating a five year rise through some unique and successful organizations. Starting in the tech sector, he was able to acquire a detail oriented skillset that delivered substantial growth in top lines sales and profitability. While with Mustang Vacuum, he combined a technical background with marketing savvy to develop new programs with key customers. It is with this background that a strong need for continuous process improvement and efficiency was created. Mr. Kimmerle leverages this knowledge in the pursuit of improved customer experiences at Waddell Manufacturing. He is responsible for manufacturing, distribution and quality. Identifying problems and delivering solutions that have created a culture of excellence in the organization. This passion for developing new processes in product development and manufacturing has helped to deliver double digit growth.

Mr. Kimmerle received a BS in Economics from Rollins College.
